   With Akamai, the NBA can deliver their content live and on demand to a person in Chicago, and a person in Australia at the same time. Akamai provides real intelligence at the edge to provide live scores to the viewer without a delay. Akamai is a rich media business, and has over 25,000 servers to deliver live media to their fans. With Akamai, each NBA team can have their own folder, which can be set up to publish and stream live, that team's own content. With the NBA teaming up the Akamai, the fan will not see internet problems; since Akamai is reliable.
   It is important that all fans, regardless of where one lives, has the same experience viewing an NBA game on the internet. Akamai is efficient and accurate. It is important, that each franchise have their own content in order to reach out their particular fan base. For example, a Celtics fan may want to only see Celtics content, scores, updates etc. without having to view other teams. Akamai allows this to happen; since each team can set up their own live event in minutes; therefore increasing the fan base.
  The NBA partnered with Akamai in order to stay a step ahead all of the time. With the NBA partnering with Akamai it has allowed the NBA to grow their fan base all over the world at any given time. The NBA is using systems, such as Akamai, to change the way individuals "view" the NBA. The NBA is using strategic methods in order to be competitive in the online sports world. The NBA has a business ecosystem that dominates other firms online. Akamai was used/build to have new individuals enter the NBA viewing (obtaining more fans), having all team franchises on board, and Akamai is become a rapidly growing platform.
